Abbey Clancy has cringed at her husband’s “outrageous and ridiculous” lifestyle choices when he was earning a fortune as a footballer.
The 38-year-old model, who is married to former England player Peter Crouch, admits she made some “strange” decisions over the years when she had more money.
She told the Times: “We used to fly helicopters in for tasting events, which is a bit outrageous and ridiculous when you’re in a football field.
“Your decision is strange.”
Abbey went on to confess that their lavish wedding in 2011 was “too bad” so they decided to have a more toned-down ceremony when they renewed their vows in 2022.
She added: “We had a big, extravagant wedding. I walked into Nicki Minaj’s room and there was a little kid playing the harp in church singing ‘You Are So Beautiful.’ I don’t even remember making that decision,” he added. .
“I had about five dresses and it was a boob so when we renewed our vows it was completely ripped off.”
However, despite being so wealthy, Abby revealed that her husband was not good at buying presents and once received a charging cable as a gift.
She explained: “Pete once bought me a 2m charging cable as a present. He likes practical gifts.
“We’ve been together for 20 years, and he still doesn’t know my shoe size. Last year he bought me a size 9 sweatshirt. I said, ‘ I know my feet are big, Pete, but they’re not that big.” ”
It was revealed that Abby had run out of braces to fix her teeth, but the expensive treatment left her with crooked teeth like “comedian legend Ken Dodd”, leaving her furious. It was after that.
Appearing on The Therapy Crouch podcast, Abbey explained: “My teeth used to stick out 2mm, but now they stick out 4mm.
“I ended up wearing braces for six months and my teeth got even thinner and my palate thinner, which is crazy.
“My crossbite hasn’t changed. In fact, it’s gotten worse. So I said to the dentist, ‘What the hell is going on?'” He is a comedian.
But Abby’s dentist told her the problem would resolve itself. She added: “My dentist told me, ‘Teeth move through a certain period of time. Then they go back to normal.'”
