This week’s Fall River Pet is here!
Forever Paws has three Cane Corsos from the New Bedford 21 incident still waiting for their forever homes.
Brielle weighs about 96 pounds and is estimated to be about 5 years old. Although she gets along well with other dogs, Forever Paws would not put her with cats or young children because of her size. She is probably the most adorable female Cane Corso they have and is 100% pure wiggle butt energy. She’s an energetic, sociable girl and actually walks pretty well on a leash considering she weighs nearly 100 pounds.
Charlotte is a little smaller at 94 pounds and a little younger at 3 years old. Like Brielle, she gets along well with other dogs, but not with cats or young children. She is a high energy, outgoing, playful girl who is as sweet as sugar and always wants to be with you.
Idris is the only male remaining and the smallest of the three. The longer he stays with Forever Paws, the more they get to know his great personality. At first, she was the biggest baby and wouldn’t even step out of the kennel. Staff had to carry all 84 pounds of his weight to get him vaccinated. For the next week or so he remained quite shy, but became more and more sociable with the people who took care of him each day. Now he’s completely at his own pace. Once on a leash, he’ll be a bouncy ball of joy, eager to show you how happy he is. He can be a little zoomy at first, but he’s great at staying heel and staying on your side.
You must own your own home or live in a home owned by a family member. It is preferable that the garden has a fence. Experience with dog breeds and experience with similar breeds preferred.
