This program gives 21c guests the option to foster an adopted dog from Best Friends overnight.
BENTONVILLE, AR — Bentonville’s Best Friends Pet Resource Center and the 21c Museum Hotel are teaming up to allow hotel guests to bring their rescue dogs into their home away from home.
The Pet Sleepover Program offers 21c guests the option to foster an adopted dog from Best Friends overnight.
To participate, hotel guests can fill out an online form to register for the nightly dog checkout.
When participants come to the Pet Resource Center to pick up their dog, the center will provide an overnight bag with treats, toys, and anything else needed.
“We make sure they’re bathed, beautiful and ready,” said Linda DeBerry, senior marketing specialist at Best Friends NWA. “They come with an ‘adopt me’ leash and an ‘adopt me’ bandana so when they go out in public people know they are up for adoption…and the rest is… It’s up to you whether you want to play, walk, watch a movie, or relax on the couch.
DeBerry said the program brings furry friends to hotel guests and an opportunity to see adoptable pets in the community.
He added that there is no fee from Best Friends for this service and that 21c is waiving pet fees for its regular sleepover program.
Best Friends asks those who participate in the program to supervise children around dogs and not bring other pets with them if they foster their dogs at night.
