Lulu appeared on James Martin’s Saturday Morning this weekend and opened up about touring again at age 75. But before returning to the stage, the singer revolutionized her lifestyle when it came to taking care of her health.
The actress, who previously revealed that her father died from high cholesterol, revealed that her GP told her she had high cholesterol.

“It was really scary because it’s one of the biggest risk factors for coronary heart disease,” the star admitted. She added that her father’s death caused her to reevaluate her way of life.
“My father’s death at the age of 71 was devastating,” Lulu said. “I loved him dearly. He worked in the Glasgow meat market for many years and was a great singer. Unfortunately he didn’t take good care of himself and had health issues. I had received a lot of warnings, but I ignored them.”

Lulu’s new lifestyle
As a result of the health scare, the “Love Loves to Love Love” singer has made a number of lifestyle changes. “The Boat That I Row” songstress threw out ice cream from the freezer and stopped putting butter on her sandwiches.

The star also admitted that she started her day with hot water and lemon before eating a bowl of porridge or yogurt and granola.

“If I were to rate my health on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give myself a 9. I’ve always been careful about exercise and eating right. There are so many chemicals in my diet. I eat organic food, “as opposed to non-organic produce,” she revealed.

The star also revealed that she loves dark green leafy vegetables. Lulu said: “Cress and green bean soup is my favorite. I also take a flask with me on tour. I drink at least a liter and a half of water with cranberry juice every day, and before that I drink ginger tea.” When I go on stage, my vocal cords become clean. ”

The popular singer has been open about his past health struggles. In 2012, Lulu revealed she was suffering from the “worst case” of pneumonia.

“I was touring with what I thought was just a cough, but when I got back to London the doctor said I should have been admitted to hospital,” she said.
