A new health club is about to open in St. Cloud.
Crunch Fitness is putting the finishing touches on its newest club, scheduled to open on Halloween morning, Thursday, October 31st. It is located in part of the area formerly occupied by Sears in the Crossroads Shopping Center.
Crunch is a national chain with approximately 433 clubs in Puerto Rico, Canada, Spain, Portugal, Costa Rica, and Australia.
Newly enrolled St. Cloud club members got a sneak peek inside the club Thursday while receiving club access cards and the perks of being a “club founder.”
There’s a lot of painting, vacuuming, and tidying to do before the club opens for training, but join us for an early tour of St. Cloud’s newest fitness center. Please come.

Beyond the dumbbells are 10 Olympic weightlifting tables. These can be used for a variety of barbell lifts, including deadlifts, clean and jerks, snatches, and squats. Each station has its own weight, making loading the bar faster and easier for your workout.

Crunch also offers a number of independent classes and studios. A high-intensity interval training class aimed at functional training. All class equipment is self-contained, allowing classes to proceed without interfering with those using the main gym floor. (Note the sandbag, box for jumping, and half tire for tire flipping.)

…as well as a cycling studio. Note the “choir riser” effect to ensure all riders keep an eye on the instructors who are currently located around where the ladder is. The studio is full of visual effects that go well with the sound system, perfect for spinning and cycling classes.

Just looking at the facilities can be overwhelming, but even during the pre-opening tour, there were many staff members there to answer questions and guide us around. Just ask.

Although not yet available for viewing, there will be a relax and recovery area near the front desk offering hydromassage, tanning and 360 scan body composition services.
There’s still a lot to do before Crunch starts his first workout on Halloween morning. However, the space is impressive and promises to provide even more great options for training local residents.
