Drew Scott is soaking up every moment of fatherhood while his kids are young. The Property Brothers star opened up about co-parenting son Parker and daughter Piper with his wife Linda Huang.
Drew, 46, told People magazine on Thursday, Oct. 24, “It’s so cool to see Parker as a big brother to Piper. I was a little unsure at first, but now they’re like best buds. I can see it,” he said.
Five-month-old Piper was born on May 21, 2024, and already has a sweet relationship with her younger brother, but two-year-old Parker is still getting used to being an older sibling at times.
“I mean, there are days when you’re like, ‘Oh, I don’t know, can I give her back?'” Linda, 39, said. “That’s what he thinks, but we’ll be best friends from now on.”
“Well, at first I was like, ‘Who is stealing my attention?'” Drew added. “But now he seems to like it and she seems to be picking up on things quickly by watching him. She’s only 5 months old, but she loves it when she just stares at him. His expression is very kind.”
Parker was born in May 2022, on the couple’s fourth wedding anniversary.
Speaking about how his life has changed since welcoming his daughter, Drew said: So far, nothing has changed,” adding, “We have a toddler running around. He’s doing more work than a 5-month-old right now, which is pretty amazing. We are tired. Do we look tired?

Drew expressed similar sentiments in August when he spoke to Collider about raising two young children with Linda.
“At first he was a little nervous. He didn’t know what was going to happen. Apparently he thought she was going to hurt him or something, and then he was a little nervous. I think he was jealous,” the HGTV personality said of Parker’s reaction to Piper’s birth. “‘Who is this woman who comes here and steals my time?’ I’m the most important person in this house.’ Now he just wants to spend time with her.” . He wants to cuddle up to her and kiss her hand and her head and pet her. It’s really adorable to see them together.”
Drew said Parker and Piper love spending time with their cousins. His twin brother Jonathan Scott is a bonus dad to Zooey Deschanel’s fiancés Charlie and Elsie from her marriage to ex-husband Jacob Pechenik.
“I know what it was like for JD and Jonathan growing up. I love having siblings, and Jonathan and Zooey have two children. I know what it’s like. It’s the best of times and it’s the worst of times,” Drew said. “Linda’s sisters also have children, and you can see that they love each other, hate each other, and love each other. So being with them now, especially since they’re two years apart, you can see that. I think it helps them. Hopefully it helps them bond and grow closer as they get older.”
