In the world of housewives, there is an unspoken rule: “Never talk about another woman’s children.” Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Angie Katsanevas feels Lisa Barlow broke that rule when she then mentioned Angie’s daughter’s name.
Lisa claimed that Angie used her daughter as an excuse to hang up. When she wanted to hang up, Angie said, “Elektra needs me.”
Angie wasn’t satisfied with Lisa mentioning her daughter’s name and clapped back at Lisa allowing her 12-year-old son Henry to play video games until 2am.
Angie Katsanevas clarifies her statement
At the RHOSLC aftershow, Angie clarified her original statement. “First of all, I never called Lisa a bad mother,” she said. “And secondly, Lisa crossed the line with me by raising our daughter. I was on the phone with Lisa from the moment I woke up – and this is real – probably 100 times a day. That’s right… from morning until noon, afternoon, dinner until bedtime, sometimes until 2 a.m.”
Angie said she was very upset and hurt when Lisa made comments about her son Henry’s game into the early hours of the morning.
“I spent a lot of time with Lisa, and that took me away from my family,” Angie explained. “So… if Lisa says, ‘I’m using my daughter as an excuse,’ we should never bring up each other’s children. She’s small. She’s not older. I’m not a liar, If I have to go, it’s because I’m a woman with a family.” In fact, Electra is 13 years old, a year older than Henry, and Angie doesn’t hesitate to bring up his name in the conversation.

Although Angie claimed to never call Lisa a “bad mother,” Lisa felt that was what Angie was implying. “I mean, it’s so insulting to me and Henry that Angie told Heather (Gay) that I’m basically a bad mom because my kids stay up until 2 a.m. playing video games.” That can’t happen.”
So why did the fur-loving fashionista mention Elektra in the first place? Lisa said that she only commented on “(Angie’s) reaction of, ‘You’re not going to talk to me anymore.'”
“I’m busy, you’re busy, and I don’t feel safe telling you anything because you’re going to go to Whitney[Rose]and repeat everything,” Lisa continued. “So I brought up what[Angie]was doing. She told me she would. If I call[Lisa’s husband]John[Barlow]right now, he’ll say, ‘I’m going to go to the car. I’ve heard it many times while riding.” She says, “When I want to hang up with someone, I say Electra is calling,” and that’s what she started doing to me. She called me and was like, “Elektra is calling.” It’s like 1am on a Thursday. ”
“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” airs Wednesdays at 9/8 on Bravo.
Tell me – do you think it’s okay to mention someone’s child? Do you think Angie called Lisa a bad mother when she talked about Henry?
