Spark Media, Cineflix Ink’s “Chateau DIY” partners with Nine Net
Spark Media Partners and Cineflix Rights have secured the first format sale for Channel 4’s long-running brand Château DIY.
Chateau DIY Australia follows an Australian family who give up on life in Australia and travel halfway around the world to start a new life in France. Following the same structure as Château DIY, the local edition follows multiple families at various stages of renovating or undertaking a castle.
The deal marks the first time the franchise has entered into a format agreement. The Nine Network previously acquired the rights to the completed tapes in Australia and recently signed an additional deal for a seventh season of the UK version.
Château DIY Australia will premiere on Channel 9’s Access Prime in 2025, and the series will be distributed internationally by Cineflix Rights.
