Global travel app Skyscanner has released its ‘Travel Trends 2025 Report’, highlighting major changes in travel preferences among Indian travelers. The report reveals that 2025 will be the year of shared experiences, with a focus on adventures such as stargazing, immersive art events, and live sports. A remarkable 66 per cent of Indians plan to travel more next year, seeking rich global experiences that foster a sense of community.
This report provides insights into the changing travel behavior of Indians, demonstrating their growing interest in deeper connections while traveling. Among travelers between the ages of 25 and 34, 44 percent are excited to attend a live sporting event and 47 percent are eager to participate in an interactive art experience. This trend is changing the way Indians explore the world, emphasizing the desire for shared moments and a sense of belonging.

The report also highlights trending destinations with the highest value for Indian travelers in 2025, including Shillong, India, Baku, Azerbaijan, and Langkawi, Malaysia. The use of AI in travel planning is on the rise, with 84% of Indians confident in using AI tools, further supporting the shift towards more personalized and meaningful travel experiences.
