Disney+ will release Interior Chinatown, starring Jimmy O. Yang and Ronnie Cheng, an adaptation of Charles Yu’s novel.
Disney+ has released a trailer for its upcoming original series “Interior Chinatown,” scheduled for release on November 19, 2024.
Based on Charles Yu’s acclaimed novel, this limited series features a star-studded cast led by Jimmy O. Yang, Ronnie Chen, and Chloe Bennet. All 10 episodes will be streamed exclusively on Disney+.

Inner Chinatown explores the life of Willis Wu (played by Jimmy O. Yang), a character relegated to the background of a fictional police procedural called Black & White. A minor player in this world, Willis works as a waiter and dreams of breaking out of his marginalized position and becoming the protagonist of his own story.
A chance encounter with a crime takes his life in an unexpected direction, leading him to delve deeper into Chinatown’s complex criminal intrigues. In doing so, Willis also begins to uncover hidden aspects of his family’s history and gains new insight into his identity and what it truly means to be in the public eye.
The series features an impressive ensemble cast, including Lisa Gilroy, Sullivan Jones, Archie Kao, and Diana Lin. Original author Charles Yu serves as both creator and showrunner. He also serves as executive producer alongside Taika Waititi, who directed the pilot episode.
The series is produced by 20th Television and also stars Dan Lin and Lindsay Liberatore (Rideback), Jeff Skoll, Miura Kite, Elsie Choi (Participant), and Garrett Basch (Dive) He was in charge of executive production. Director John Lee will also be joining the production team.
As with all content on Disney+, powerful parental controls will be in place to ensure the series remains appropriate for viewers of all ages. The platform allows subscribers to create PIN-protected custom profiles and control access to adult content, providing peace of mind for families.
