However, the summary account Unplugged Moments (@unpluggedmoments) shared a screenshot of the original post, detailing the entire incident.

In this original video by @andersonfam6619, the mom vlogger shares the hack she uses at discount store Five Below. Basically, she says she lets her child choose what they want and add it to their basket. However, at checkout, your child only has to choose a few items to actually purchase.
According to Unplugged Moments, this sparked discussion among viewers. Many felt it was unfair to have workers put things away when it was known that mothers would not buy things in the first place.
Unplugged Moments had not responded to Daily Dot’s request for comment via TikTok Comments at the time of publication.

The vlogger then posted a follow-up video, which has also since been deleted. Unplugged Moments shared some snippets.
“I don’t understand how people think they have the right to just stand there and work,” the mother said. “I have employees say, ‘Hey, I don’t have time to undo all of this. Can you help me?’ They’re usually very nice and say, ‘Yes, of course I can help you.’ wife. ”
In response, Unplugged Moments said, “We understand the customer service, but at the same time, let’s respect[employees]a little more and try not to take advantage of them.” It’s good to want to make memories with your daughter, but why not limit the items you put in your cart? The omnibus account shared further snippets of the follow-up video, with the mother adding: Their job is to assist customers in the store by helping with stocking, assisting at the register, or whatever else the job entails. ”
The mother continued: “I don’t do this all the time. The only time I go to the store to do something like this is in a blue moon. So get on your feet.”
Again, Unplugged Moments pointed out: You said you should have a little more respect for the workers in the world, whether you’re in retail or any other industry. ”
TikToker @andersonfam6619 reached out to The Daily Dot via Instagram direct message for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
Viewers disapprove of parenting hacks
Parenting is always a hot topic on TikTok. Creator @nursehannahbh recently went viral after sharing her struggles as a mother. In one particularly graphic clip, she collected 17 dirty diapers from around her house. This led to a discussion about hygiene and motherhood in the comments. Because of this, Hannah became known as the “Diaper Mom of 17.”
Similarly, the Unplugged Moments wrap-up video garnered a lot of attention, garnering 2.1 million views.
Since the original video was deleted, TikTokers took to the comments section of Unplugged Moments to share their anger at the mom vlogger.
“She’s talking about rights and doesn’t know what she did wrong?” one asked.
“Unless she is the manager of the store, the workload of the employees is not her concern,” another added. “She doesn’t delegate their workload.”
A third said: “I have never seen an employee standing in front of my Dollar Tree. They don’t even have enough staff to stock the shelves.”
Other commenters also highlighted how this parenting hack can affect children.
One person said: “I think it’s even worse to trick a child into thinking they can get something of their own choosing. So that’s really bad for the child.”
