The latest lookbook highlights the interiors of contemporary pizzerias around the world, including a pink vegan restaurant in London and a space in Mexico City inspired by a nearby church.
From New York City to its birthplace of Italy, pizza is a beloved delicacy around the world. As a result, the modest pizzeria is crowded with people, some walking away with their $2 slices and others crammed into booths huddled around their pies.
The pizzerias below showcase a variety of styles, each boasting unique and eclectic features and demonstrating a meticulous attention to space that is highly valued by customers.

Humble Pizza, UK, by Child Studio
The interior of this vegan restaurant in London’s Chelsea district is filled with contrasting pink tables and furniture and dark green hues.
Local practice Child Studio designed the space to resemble the city’s workers’ cafes of the 1950s. It usually featured pastel-colored Formica surfaces and no-frills food and drink.

Vesta, Canada, by Ménard Dework India
Located in Montreal’s Villeray neighborhood, Vesta takes cues from 1970s New York pizzerias with its wood-paneled walls and marble table tops.
“Vesta’s design evokes, in a uniquely contemporary way, the spirit of the Italian family restaurants that were common in North America in the 1970s,” said Menard-Dworkindo.

Lara’s Brooklyn Apizza, USA, by Bench Architects
Lala’s Brooklyn Apizza by Bench Architects is located above a former industrial brewery in Brooklyn’s East Williamsburg neighborhood.
Light wood picnic benches decorate the interior and attached terrace, and the space is lined with bright monochromatic tiles and magenta curtains.

Dough Pizza, Australia, by Ohlo Studio
Italian “rustic sophistication” has been evoked in the reddish tiles and light wood of Dough Pizza, located inside a Perth shopping centre.
“We needed to evoke a unique atmosphere and personality that would enhance the cultural heritage behind the cuisine,” said Aurostudio.

Milto, Italy, by Studio Wok
Studio Wok created this pizzeria in Sardinia to reflect the island’s natural surroundings, including earth tones and granite.
The region’s winds eroded and carved the granite rock, which is reflected in the studio’s pink plaster-covered walls, concrete floors, and arched openings.
