International burlesque performer and fitness instructor Jake Dupree knows how to make everyone laugh. You’ll almost forget you’re training. This remix video combines two of Dupree’s challenging workouts, including an oblique class and a cardio barre circuit workout. First, Dupree, assisted by Madisyn Maniff and Gina Gonsalves, will lead a 15-minute no-equipment oblique workout. Notice the Maniff on the right with modifications for beginners throughout the class.
In the second section of the group fitness class, Dupree leads viewers through an exciting 30-minute cardio class, also joined by Ellie Avilz and Nikita Chaudhry. Aviles demonstrates the fix on the right side of the screen, and Chaudhry shows the full-out movement on the left.
This upbeat workout combines high-energy cardio and ballet-inspired exercises in a fun way to keep you moving. Strengthen your glutes with exercises that focus on your lower body, core, and arms.
At the end of the class, Dupree leads the group into a cooldown. Cooldowns include stretches that involve splitting your legs and yoga-inspired moves like downward dog and pigeon pose.
Mr. Dupree reminds everyone that they can pause the class at any time and that everyone can participate in the class, take a break whenever they want, and rejoin at their own pace. No equipment is required for this class. All you need is a mat and a little space to move around. Sweat, laugh, and smile as you enjoy this high-energy class!
For an added challenge, you can also mix in a little resistance to increase strength. Consider these 2-pound PS Ankle and Wrist Weights ($20) or 4-pound PS Ankle and Wrist Weights ($30).
