Led by “Bachelorette” alum Tanner Courtodt and founder of Future Self, this class offers a walking-based workout that will help you log a ton of steps while getting your heart rate up. This class, supported by Paris Nicole and Tyler Hightower, is beginner-friendly, making it an easy choice for training at home or at the gym.
The best part? If you’re short on time, classes are only 30 minutes long. A low-impact group fitness class. No complicated equipment required. You can participate using only your own weight.
“This walking class is great for getting your heart rate up and feeling good,” says Courtad. Start with a systematic warm-up of the whole body, including marches in place, side steps, and small forward kicks.
Throughout the session, Courtod reminded the class to pay close attention to form, encouraging participants to stand tall, stick out their chests high and proud, and have fun while moving their arms and marching with their legs. . The goal of group fitness classes is to strengthen coordination, improve balance, and focus on core work.
In the next phase of his training, Courtod builds strength with boxing-inspired squats and combinations. This class also includes a standing core challenge that targets your obliques. To finish, Courtod suggests doing a cool-down together as a group, gradually lowering the intensity, lowering your heart rate, and doing some stretching.
“At the end of the day, all we have to do is probably move a little bit more,” Courtad said, concluding, “I’m glad we can move together.”
For an extra challenge, check out this 5-minute core workout from super quick finisher Ranil Pollard. Or you can take a little more time to relax with Sweat and Tell’s guided cooldown.
