Markets Media Group is pleased to present the 2025 Women in Finance Asia Awards. For the sixth time, the event will be held as an evening dinner gala at Raffles Singapore on Thursday, May 22, 2025.
Last year’s WIFAA program recognized and celebrated more than 30 of the most dynamic, talented and accomplished women professionals who are driving excellence in the financial centers of Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo and Sydney.
Award winners include Citadel’s Stella Jiang for Excellence in Hedge Funds; BlackRock’s Elene Yue praised for excellence in buy-side trading. Claire Witts, industry advocate at JPMorgan; Leadership is provided by Carol Fong of CGS International Securities. Hong Kong Exchange’s Bonnie Chan was named CEO of the Year. Cathie Armor from Cboe Australia received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The WIFAA program has come a long way since the first luncheon was held in Hong Kong in 2019. The event moved to a virtual format from 2020 to 2022 and expanded its reach with honorees from PIMCO, BNP Paribas, Credit Suisse, HSBC Asset Management and Morgan Stanley. , and other large and influential global financial companies. In 2023 and 2024, WIFAA brings back the energy, spirit, and fun that only an in-person event can provide.
Throughout the evolution of the event, that goal remains the same. It convenes Asia’s top female traders, technologists, senior capital markets executives and their male allies for an evening of networking, inspiration, and fun.
Like other Markets Media awards programs, the WIFAA program recognizes the best talent and performance in multiple categories across the financial business, including buy-side and sell-side trading desks, institutional investors, wealth managers, stock exchanges, technology providers, and corporates. We honor women with Finance, venture capital firms and fintech startups.
Nominations are suggested by Global Trading and Markets Media readers, and finalists and winners are determined by the editorial staff of the two platforms in collaboration with the WIFAA Advisory Board. Our methodology in selecting Women in Finance nominees and winners is simple but thorough, focusing on the voices that matter: the colleagues, customers, and competitors who know women best.
