Las Vegas, Nevada – More than 400 Native American athletes representing 75 different tribes from 11 regions across the United States and Canada will gather at the South Point Equestrian Center in Las Vegas, Nevada to compete in the Indian National Finals Rodeo starting in October. INFR has major/open, junior, and senior divisions. Some athletes have competed in junior events in the past, worked their way up the ranks, and are now competing in major/open division finals. It’s very exciting to see past junior champions competing in the open division as adults.

Contestants compete for huge cash prizes and prizes throughout the year, culminating in the Indian National Finals Rodeo. There, qualified contestants compete in eight major events: bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, and team. roping, barrel racing, and now – breakaway roping). Approximately 75 tribes participate in this event, and the majority of INFR members are also members of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA).
